Fermented using milk kefir grains with raw Guernsey goat milk from Worth It Farms in Chattahoochee Hills. Guernseys produce sweet, creamy milk that is excellent for making kefir. Worth It Farms feed a small amount of locally-milled supplements at milking that contains the nutrients they need to produce high quality milk. Otherwise, their goats are fed a rich diet of grass and legumes. They are rotated between a dry lot and open pasture (as weather allows) to maximize parasite control. The goats are not treated with antibiotics, coccidiostats, nor growth hormones (ever) while milking. Parasite control is handled organically on goats and fertilizer throughout the farm is organic.
Kefir will separate which is totally normal. You can stir it up or shake it gently (remember, it’s slightly carbonated). You can keep kefir in your refrigerator for 14 days… it will still ferment and become tangier. Ideally, kefir should be given an hour before meal, once a day.
Feeding Suggestion. If this is your pet’s first time, start small and work towards the dosage:
Small dog or cat: 1 tsp - 1 tbsp
Medium size dogs: 1 – 2 tbsp.
Large dogs: 2 – 3 tbsp.
*Kefir is made at room temperature so your kefir MAY be delivered room temperature, depending on production. Due to using raw goat milk, this is not intended for human consumption. Please refrigerate your kefir once you receive it.
